I did not join a tour guide. I chose my own road. I drove to Bwindi in Uganda. I saw farmers lift heavy loads on steep roads. I saw hard work and hope. I saw life. The road was long. The road was true. I learned to see the heart of Africa. I learned to see the pulse of its people. I learned to share life, wildlife, and our connected bonds.
