It covers an area of about 3,893 sq km and resides within four districts of Uganda. The waterfall and park were named after the renowned geologist Roderick Murchison. The park offers many exciting activities like game drives, boat cruises, bird-watching tours and hiking treks. Queen Elizabeth National Park

In 1952, the park was inaugurated as Kazinga National Park but was renamed two years later to memorialize the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. It covers an area of 1,978 sq km and is home to animals like Ugandan kobs, African elephants, African buffaloes, Nile crocodiles, hippos, lions and leopards. Some of the activities conducted in the national park are guided game drives, night drives, boat cruises, chimp tracking, and nature walks. Tourists can participate in chimp tracking in the Kyambura Gorge. Explorers can also partake in the lion tracking experience organized by researchers to track and protect the lion population.
Kibale Forest National Park
The nearest city to the national park is Fort Portal in the Kabarole district of Uganda. The park area is mainly made up of evergreen rainforest but includes several different landscapes. The Kibale Forest National Park contains a rich diversity of flora and fauna. It’s famous for chimpanzee tracking as there are higher chances of viewing the primates here than in any other national park.
