Murchison Falls National Park and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
You’ll be fully immersed in the most breathtaking views as soon as you arrive at your first destination — the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you’ll get to visit the only wild rhinos in Uganda — 22 southern white rhinos. Then it’s onto Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s oldest and largest national park. Home to over 75 species of mammals and 450 bird species, you’ll find the most spectacular wildlife imaginable here. As soon as you arrive, you’ll enjoy an evening game drive, and your first Africa-infused dinner at the beautiful Fort Murchison lodge before turning in for the night. Come morning, we’ll set out on a morning game drive which is the perfect opportunity to spot all the magnificent wild game that Africa is known for. Then we’ll enjoy a scenic boat cruise on the Nile to find hippos, crocodiles, and even buffaloes close up. To finish off a wonderful day, we’ll take a climb to the top of the peak to the waterfalls to discover stunning views of the Nile and African landscape.
Fort Portal and Views of the Kibale Forest National Park
The next destination Kibale Forest National Park is best known for chimpanzee trekking. Peaceful and serene, the Kibale National Park will provide stunning views and ultimate tranquillity. Enjoy lunch at Fort Portal, a divine land nestled in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” before arriving at the tropical forest of Kibale and the Kibale Forest Camp lodge for dinner. The next morning you’ll get to head out on your first tracking adventure to discover the chimpanzee of this region. You’ll get an up-close and personal view and then we’ll head out to the Bigodi swamp for a scenic nature walk and bird watch. On day six you’ll take a break from the forest and explore the picturesque crater lakes before hiking to Lake Nkuruba to meet the glorious Mahoma Falls. You’ll also get a real close look at the lifestyle here, as we’ll journey into the villages and delve deeper into the culture and customs of the Batooro.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
On day seven, we’ll set out on our journey to the Queen Elizabeth National Park, a 1,978 square km territory that offers majestic backdrops, snow-capped peaks, and over 95 mammals and 600 bird species. You’ll get to experience an amazing game drive to discover all the exotic species of this area before turning in for the night at the stunning Bush Lodge. Your morning will be filled with fun and adventure. We’ll explore habitats of elephants, lions, bushback, and roving antelope before taking an exciting afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This winding oasis is frequented by buffalo, hippos, warthogs, and exotic birds. You may even get to see a tree-climbing lion in the grasslands of Ishahsa before we leave to head to Bwindi.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
With over 50% of the world’s Mountain Gorilla population here, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is the perfect place for a Gorilla trek. We’ll arrive at the Safari Lodge at the Broadbill forest Camp at night, and then head out to on the first tracking tour in the morning. Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime! We’ll wind through the awe-inspiring jungle on the lookout for these magnificent creatures. And when we come upon them, we’ll spend some time observing as they play, hug, and tussle each other. Once we’re done, we’ll set out on another journey to see the Pygmies of the Ituri forest known as the Batwa people. Here, you’ll get to experience true Pygmie culture and get a close encounter with this unique group of people.
Entebbe and Kampala
To wind down our Ultimate Safari Adventure, we’ll check out of the lodge and begin our journey to the city of Kampala/Entebbe. We’ll stop at the Mbarara for lunch and then the Uganda equator for pictures and shopping. We’ll finish at Kampala/Entebbe where you can spend the rest of your time enjoying these exciting locations that are filled with top attractions.
