Uncharted Journeys: Our Family’s Thrilling Adventure Through Uganda’s Gorilla Treks and Safaris 🌍🦍🦓

We stayed at Bweza Lodge near Bwindi Forest. We saw a chameleon up close. The chameleon came near and we smiled. The small act made our day bright.

Gorilla trekking was our top goal. I had dreamed of this trip for long years. There are 1,056 mountain gorillas left. Half of these great apes live in Uganda. We kept ten meters away to stay safe. We met a silverback with his young ones. We felt awed as we sat with them.

Embracing the Wild

In Mburo National Park, wild life shone too. We saw giraffes eat fresh greens. We saw hippos rest in the sun. We saw many graceful animals on land. We rode on a boat on Lake Mburo. The boat trip showed us hippos and stately birds on clear water. We saw nature as a kind face. The sounds of nature gave us a big smile.

The Human Connection

People in Uganda are warm and kind. They smile and wave at us. We met local folks as we traveled. We visited a school by Lake Bunyonyi. Laila met children there. In that small school, hearts touched each other. The school proved that smiles can build bridges.

Overcoming Challenges

Our trip had bumps too. We broke a rule with our drone. We learned to check rules and care for the law. The mistake did not dim our thrill. We learned that some things stay best in our minds.
